Earlier today I posted my take on the question of whether or not Tiger Woods is the greatest athlete. Below if a follow up to that post. The comments at the Times are up over 500 as golf and sports fans are slugging it out in a well moderated forum that does not allow for any nonsense. I recommend that you check it out.

The Vote is Biased
It’s no wonder the vote for Tiger Woods is as high as 28%. After all, the Times stacked the deck heavily in his favor when they only offered two choices, Tiger and everyone else.

How would their results have looked if Jack Nicklaus was also on the ballot? He was the better athlete. He was also the better athletic performer considering that he produced more clutch shots down the stretch in the majors against much tougher competition than Tiger will ever face.

Nicklaus is the greatest athletic performer ever.
