The Rolling Stones performed 148 times from August 10, 2005 through August 27, 2007 on their Bigger Bang tour. Only 14 shows were on consecutive nights at the same venue.
Now these guys are rock stars – they get around, and they perform. And they’ve been doing this for over 40 years.
Rock stars go out on tour. They show up, they play, and they entertain their fans. They know they are going to have their good and not so good nights. But they show up and play because they know how important the fans are to their success. A winning performance for the ages is always a goal, but just being there for their adoring throngs counts big time among their loyal supporters.
Vijay Singh is, without a doubt, the PGA Tour’s reining rock star. He performs at a very high level, he is fan friendly, and he plays – more than any other elite player in the world. Sure, he wants to win, but more than anything else, the man just loves to play golf – and practice it too. So, if you are a fan, the chances are excellent that you’ll get an exhibition at the range after his round is done.

Globally speaking, Ernie Els is perhaps the number one rock star among pro golfers. Over the last two years he’s played in 56 events, only four less than Singh. And he’s done so while traveling throughout the US and Europe, and to tournaments in South Africa, Dubai, Singapore, Thailand, and China.
