The weather forecast calls for more of the same today at THE PLAYERS. This means that, over the first two rounds, the players are going to play two different golf courses – the player friendly morning version and a snarling windblown beast in the afternoon. Here are the numbers from the first round:

So what we really have is two leaderboards – the AM and PM versions. After the second round they will merge as each group will have had a chance to play the friendly version and the beast. Then we’ll know who’s really wielding the hot hand.

Here’s an oddity: three of the four 70s in the afternoon came from the threesome of Anthony Kim, Boo Weekley, and D.J. Trahan.
