Yesterday I complained about the lack of stats (GIR, etc.) on the scoreboard I arrived at following a link from PGATour.com. I then looked for them by clicking the players name at masters.org. This won’t give you the stats either. I then clicked on view under Scorecard. That gives you the hole by hole results, but not the stats.
I then gave up for the moment, only to return to this site after the first round was over. It was then that I discovered a separated section called statistics. It contains up to the minute GIR, putting, etc. I made two discoveries. You have to look up each stat individually for each player, rather than being able to see all of their numbers at a glance, which is how they do it for regular PGA Tour events. That was the bad news. The good news is that they rank the players from top to bottom in each category so you can see how they compare with the others.
I concluded that the PGA Tour and the people at the Masters should put their heads together and employ the good that both do when presenting their statistics
